Job Description
The Department of Management at Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver is looking to hire adjunct instructors for the 2023-2024 academic year to Strategic Business Communication (4 credit hours) with a possibility of teaching other courses.Adjunct faculty may teach up to a maximum of six courses over three academic quarters (Fall, Winter, Spring). Courses are classroom-based and are offered twice weekly on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday for 1 hour, 50 minutes.Course SpecificationsStrategic Business Communication (BUS3000) covers business speaking and writing. Instructors should be comfortable teaching concepts such as how to manage public speaking anxiety, email writing, storytelling and persuasion. Technology used includes PitchVantage software, Capsim Inbox Simulation software, and Canvas is the LMS.Essential FunctionsAdjunct faculty are required to teach twice a week, hold office hours, assign papers and exams as appropriate and be available to assist students with assignments. Faculty must use Canvas, MS Teams, and other technology. The University operates on a quarter system.
